Africa Journal Documentary on Champion Taekwondo at Kenya Fluorspar:

“To Build true confidence through knowledge in the mind, honesty in the heart and strength in the body. To Keep Friendship with one another and to build a strong and healthy community. Never fight to achieve selfish ends.” -Taekwondo Creed

As subscribers of Taekwondo’s creed, eight-time Canadian National Champion Grandmaster Victor Luke, Charles Field-Marsham and Natasha Field-Marsham teamed up to launch an outreach program to expand access to the world-leading martial art of Taekwondo, allowing rural communities in Kenya to get the best training possible in their own communities.

They launched the program in March 2012 and by July 2012 the 4500 sq.ft facility for the program was built and registered with the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).

Today, Taekwondo lessons are offered free of charge through this program to 600 students who attend Kenya Fluorspar Primary School and several other surrounding schools. Youth and adults from surrounding villages are also enrolled.
