Kenya Fluorspar

On Thursday 28 May 2009, a delegation from the Company embarked on a short trip to five sub locations within the two main locations surrounding the Company; Soy and Chemoibon. The main purpose of this venture was to hand out food parcels to the elderly and needy persons. 

 The Environmental officer, Karen Rerimoi, accompanied the group. She presented a short talk on the importance of preserving the environment rather than destroying it, and discouraged the current practice of deforestation. Residents were also encouraged to plant trees. 

 The program was under the guidance of an elder of the community who is also the Company’s plant production Foreman, Mr. Elijah Chesumer. About 120 people within the five sub-locations benefitted from the donation.
