Kenya Fluorspar

On Saturday 5 November 2011 a large gathering arrived at the Company sport fields to witness the handing over of the winner’s cheque of a football competition sponsored by a local radio station, Kass FM, to the SOIN Football team.

The SOIN team comprised of young boys from the Kerio Valley and contained a number of company employees. They entered the competition with 219 other teams and emerged victorious winning the final against of Bomet by 3 goals to 2 after extra time.

The team was sponsored by Kenya Fluorspar to ensure they met all their financial commitments and the Shs 1 million cheque was just reward for this young team that persevered.

The team has decided to invest their prize money into an asset that will generate revenue for them and may acquire a truck to move ore at the Mine.
