On Friday 20 April 2012 the Company achieved a major safety milestone in its history. For the first time in history it reached the 1 million lost time injury free man hour mark with the last lost time incident recorded in October 2010.

Since 2005 the Company has come a long way in improving its safety record but most of all ensure the safety of its employees and equipment. This success can be ascribed to the management and employees’ positive attitude towards safety as well as the awareness programs in place. The safety record has improved from 17 lost time injuries recorded in 2006 to an average of 3 per annum thereafter until we reached this milestone.

The Board wishes to congratulate the management and employees on this magnificent achievement which has shown that the Company is serious about safety and its employees.

A function to celebrate this occasion will be held later in May.
