For the first time in its history the Company achieved  one million LTI free man hours on 20th April 2012. A function to celebrate the event was held on 23rd May, 2012 with all employees and special guests were the visitors from the Ministry of Labour, Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health services in recognition of this achievement. The DoSHS officer Mr. Winstone Audi gave a short speech, thanking everyone for their efforts and contributions in making the workplace safe. He reiterated that safety is everybody’s responsibility.

On his part, the company Managing Director Mr. Nico Spangenberg said that there are various factors which have been instrumental in achieving this record, most importantly the commitment and dedication of all employees in believing and demonstrating that safety comes first.  “It gives KFC great satisfaction in knowing that our workplace is safe and that the company employees return home safely to their families, and we believe that our performance and commendations in reaching 1million LTI free man hours is as a result of everyone’s effort” said the MD.

Health and safety of its employees is of primary importance to the Company and we recognize the commitment and efforts our EHS Officer and Safety Officer in this regard in collaboration with the Health and Safety Committee.
